Deliverance From Cigarettes

I started smoking when I was 12. I became a full time smoker at age 14. I loved smoking and always had to have my coffee with it! So in 1986 I gave my life to Jesus Christ and my life began to change overnight. I wanted to be everything God wanted me to be. I tried to be perfect and quickly learned that wasn't happening. I had to learn about God's amazing Grace (undeserved favor) and that this transformation would happen a little at a time. Well, I quite at least 3 times and went back when stress would come or a trial of some sort. So, in around 2009 I was getting desperate to quit. I knew it was a bad testimony not to mention they are cancer causing. I don't know the day but it was @ 2009. One day I started my day out in prayers, then I went outside cause we didn't smoke in the house. Well, I'd go outside to smoke and would just take a few drags and go back in the house. Then I felt dirty and sinful and desperate. I desperately wanted to quit but could not. I began to cry out to the Lord to please help me, to deliver me from these nasty things. So, I'd be good for an hour and then the temptation to smoke would come and outside I went took a few puffs and back in the house I'd go. I would throw myself on my couch and cry hysterically before the Lord and cry out for deliverance this went on for @ 3hours when all of a sudden I felt as if I were in an invisible bubble and had been given the greatest tranquillizer ever. And the urge to smoke was GONE. Once in a while I would vagely think about a cigarette but I didn't want it anymore. God had delivered me from those nasty cigarettes. For two weeks I felt like I was in that invisible bubble and the battle was over won by God Almighty. Thank You Lord for delivering me its been over 7years now and I am SO grateful. Whom God sets free is free indeed! God is unlimited what do you need from Him? Salvation, Healing, Deliverance, Peace of mind?

Thank God for your deliverance from that stronghold! Addiction is one of the schemes of the enemy to keep God's people in bondage. I'm so glad the power of God has set you free.

Another great testimony. God works in great ways. He will deliver us if only we will depend on Him.
