What about the Pelican?

I just finished commenting on an old discussion by @Hatley about the Purple Cow. That made me think of one of my Ogden Nash favorites about the Pelican. All I have memorized from it is
"What a wonderful bird is the pelican
His beak can hold more than his bellican..."
Anyone remember the rest of it? Who else is an avid reader of nonsense verse? Who do you think writes it best?

I enjoy the company of hatley on another site. I didn't realize she was here.

She started here like many us and moved to Bubblews when most of us migrated.

Actually, it's my own memory that failed here. The poem was by Dixon Lanier Merritt, not Ogden Nash, and I didn't quote it quite right. I did look up "The People Upstairs," and it's way to realistic. It was also funny.

No, I have no idea what this is, is it a poem? I also haven't seen @Hatley for a while, I should go find her and see what she has been up to
