The passing of the spirit of an angel

I just returned from the funeral and burial of my grandmother that passed-away at the age of 92. I'm sure many of you out there can share the same story, but for the past 48 years of my life, she has always been the example of what a perfect person could be. I've never seen her do anyone harm or even so much as complain about any ailments. This is something Almost every one I know and myself have fallen short on. Sure, we can say good things about anybody, even criminals and bigots, but my grandmother was the real deal and to me it seemed she would always continue to live on Earth as a beacon of light I can always look to for guiding me back toward doing the right thing as I get older. She was blessed to see four generations produced by the seeds she planted and her parents experienced the same. I thought it was beautiful that my grandmother and her 8 month old, great, grand daughter looked in directly into each other's eyes during the last few hours her life. My supernaturally, abstract mind thinks that being odd that I would be the one to see it taking place, it might mean something important has happening, perhaps it is a spiritual binding passing along of her loving and nurturing spirit to the future generation, but for now, I'll simply just keep the image fresh in my mind. What about you? Have you experienced something to believe a person that passed left something beautiful about themselves behind? Maybe a few words of wisdom?

So sorry to hear about your Grandmother. Your Grandmother and mine sound like two in the same people. She passed away a few years ago.

I can feel the love in your posting. The part that you said "my grandmother and her 8 month old, great, grand daughter looked in directly into each other's eyes" melts me. We are also four generations in my family. May your grandmother's soul rest in peace,
