Any Book Lovers out there?

I'm a serious book lover... I don't read any of those self help books and all, seriously the point of self help is that you help yourself... So I think reading a book that is categorized as self help defeats the purpose for which it was written... But any ways... I'm mostly into fiction... For a month or two recently I started to read these books by Indian Authors starting with the one and only Chetan Bhagat, and moving on to others like Ravinder Singh, Nikita Singh, and Durjoy Datta... They were really nice books, all love stories... I think these upcoming Indian authors mostly start off with love stories, but not many venture into mystery or thrillers which is really sad... So anyway i got bored of reading these love stories, coz its kind of like the serials that they put on TV these days... Now I am into Sidney Sheldon and Arthur Hailey and John Grisham... So what have you been reading lately? Please Share

I've always been into science fiction and fantasy novels. Right now I'm leaning more towards the fantasy side of things. I just finished reading Patricia Briggs' Shifting Shadows, a collection of short stories that takes place in the world of her Mercy Thompson and Alpha and Omega novels. They're urban fantasy and involve werewolves, witches, fae, and other supernatural things. Tonight I started reading a book that I picked up from a dear friend. He works at a bookstore and the corporate office sent him an advance copy of a book by one of my favorite authors. He read it and passed it on to me. I'm loving it so far, but I can't really give many details about it until it's released at the end of the month. Oh, I really enjoyed Django Wexler's The Shadow Campaigns series. They're about a young woman who joins the military to escape from a bad situation and gets pulled into what's starting to look like a war on an occult sect from another country. Mr. Wexler is phenomenal at leaving more questions unanswered at the end of his books than answered... I tell him he needs to let us in on what the general is up to, but he just laughs at me.

the books tht leave the endings unfinished generally leave me with the feeling of wanting to kill the author... Its soo frustrating...

@susananita Oh, it's not that he leaves the endings unfinished. The books themselves wrap up really well. But I still have no clue what the general is up to, which means I need to buy the fourth book as soon as it comes out to maybe get a few more tidbits of the story... This is what they call #BookwormProblems.

If you really want to read a thriller by an Indian author pick up Ashwin Sanghi's The Rozabal Line. Its not one of his most successful book but the most interesting one according to me. One book that I read recently that really blew my mind away was Ken Follett's Pillars of the Earth. I would recommend it to anyone interested in an epic tale.

I also read the book 'The Third Twin' by Ken Follett, he's quite an interesting author... Stephen King is also quite interesting, I recently read his book, titled 'Christine'...

I seriously can't imagine life without books so yes I do consider myself a bookworm. I read both fiction and non-fiction but lately I'm attracted to non-fiction more (no, not self-help books either ). The last fiction I read was Dan Brown's Inferno, and the last non-fiction was Martin Lindstrom's Brandwashed.
