The mode of transport I'll be using a lot this week. Manchester's trams are pretty neat except when they get very over-crowded when they can be a living Hell. Getting tickets for them is annoying as you get the tickets from a very slow machine and you can miss the tram while getting the ticket. Boarding without a ticket can lead to hefty fines or imprisonment. I have seen passengers hauled off roughly by police and ticket inspectors.

The Metrolink is an excellent and efficient mode of transport, but does tend to suffer from a vast number of disruptions.
I have lost count of the number of times that certain routes have been closed for improvements etcetera, which must be costing a small fortune in wages and lost revenue.
