Does anyone else here get muscle spasms in their back? A while back, I had this excruciating pain for 3 days straight. It was like a band of pain around my upper abdomen all the way around my back. I had no clue what it was! I went to the hospital because I just couldn't take it anymore. They diagnosed it as a muscle spasm and prescribed me with a pain killer and a muscle relaxer, which helped immediately. However, in my current situation I am unable to get those medications for my muscle spasms. So, I had to find other methods of relieving the pain. Here are some ways to relieve a muscle spasm in your back. Drink a lot of water - muscle spasms are often triggered by dehydration. Use a vapor rub or hot/cold cream - applying this really helps loosen up the muscles. Use a heating pad - again, heat loosens up the muscles. These are the only things that I have found that actually work and relieve my muscle spasms other than medication.

I wear the Tommy Copper lower back brace sometimes and I DON'T CARE IF IT MAKES ME LOOK LIKE I'M 80 YEARS OLD.

I don't even think a back brace would work for my back.
