I noticed that my dog acts all weird sometimes when he's asleep...he gets all agitated and I wonder if he's in fact dreaming?

It would actually be more surprising if dogs did not dream than the fact that they do. Whether or not their dreams are like ours is difficult to say but, since the electrical impulses which represent different kinds of sleep are similar in dogs, rats and humans, it is quite true that they dream.
Our dreams are often very much to do with the happenings of the previous day and it is likely that dogs have similar dreams, though they may be smell oriented rather than or as well as visual.

As long as I know, yes, they can dream.. The weird thing they do when they are sleeping is really that, dreams...
At least that was what people say here.
