I've just got back from walking our puppy, and while it is a warm balmy, slightly humid evening, the smell of orange blossom fills the air, which Is nice, but..., I think it is a very 'heady', strong smell, which often takes my breath away.... and there is a lot of it about.
I know I should appreciate these wonderful aromas from nature, and in a way I do, but, the scents from some of these flowers, gives me a headache, I am glad that It is a floral perfume that fills the air, and not smog from traffic, or the smell of rubbish sitting on street corners, but I am also glad there are no orange blossoms near our flat.

i bet that could be a bit o'erwhelmin'! no doubt that humidity intensifies those aromas - does here anyhow on the rare times we've such. yepperz, one could smell way worse schtuff. when the wind blows jest wrong (not a typo), i can smell the dairy from 'bout 10 miles 'way. if'n its from the other direction, the feedlots. folks in these parts call it 'the smell 'f money'. big hugs!

I know what you mean about worse things, when I was younger, depending on whi ch way the wind was blowing, we could smell the hops from the local brewery, or the sugar beets being processed and refined at the local sugar processing plant, so I suppose the smell of orange blossem isn't that bad after all.. lol's
