Blueberry BBQ Sauce

You know what's really good? Blueberry BBQ sauce! It's a nice change up from the regular BBQ sauce, and you can use it just the same. Every time I make BBQ chicken or ribs I use this recipe instead of using regular BBQ sauce. It's so much better, unless you don't like blueberries of course. Even so, you should give it a try! I use this recipe from the Food Network and by chef Michael Symon, as I found it to be the most delicious recipe for blueberry BBQ sauce! 3 pints blueberries 1/2 cup brown sugar 1 cup balsamic vinegar 1 cup red wine vinegar 1 clove garlic, minced 1 onion, sliced 1 habanero pepper 1 dark beer 1 tablespoon ground coriander 1 tablespoon ground cumin 1 tablespoon ground coffee 1 tablespoon chipotle powder 5 pounds smoked and cooked St. Louis cut pork ribs Add all the ingredients for the sauce into a saucepan and cook for 2 hours over medium-low heat. Remove the sauce from the heat and place into a food processor or blender and puree. Strain the sauce and set aside. Preheat grill over medium-high heat. Place the ribs onto the grill and brush with sauce. This will glaze the ribs while they cook. The blueberries add a subtle sweetness to the sauce to play off the heat of the chiles and the acid of the vinegar.

@Angelee_27 I know I would like it, but I would sadly have to replace the sugar with stevia..

Yes I've had it with pork too! I use it on anything I'd use regular BBQ sauce on.

It's really worth making! It tastes better than any bottled BBQ sauce for sure! Blueberry BBQ sauce is one of my favorite sauces. I dip a lot of things in it too.

Oh it is! When I make it, I usually make about a half gallon of the sauce and keep it in the refrigerator for whenever I make chicken or ribs, or just need a good dipping sauce!
