In Mylot we are expected to interact as much as possible. The words 'as much as' leave me confused.Obviously it is the quantity of interaction on which our earnings depend.Does it mean that quality of interaction does not have any importance?Or,does quality play a role to increase our earnings?

I have read in several places that quality does, admitting that i have no idea how one would go about measuring that. Quantity will have some affect as well, just because the most you comment and such, the more chance you have for others to interact with you, but it needs to be quality posts or there is no point doing so.

@JessaLyn,Like you I don't know how to measure quality of a discussion.I fully agree with you that quality is also as important as quantity. If a discussion has a quality, then it would attract more responses. And more responses would generate more earnings. But the question in my mind was, what about a big quantity of interaction that lacks quality?

@else34 I have seen some quality posts with little discussion, people just missed them or didn't have much to say, so I wouldn't put tons of stock in judging a book by it's cover, per say. But still try to, as you have been doing, give solid longer responses, and well thought out discussions

Quality absolutely plays a role in what you can earn here. A quality post is, in essence, one that encourages other community members to interact with it. Something like "I agree" wouldn't be a quality post because it doesn't encourage interaction. If you expand on that, and explain why you agree with the previous poster, that post could encourage further interaction in the form of additional comments from other users. It would probably get more likes than the first example, too.

@Yuki,you are right.Quality matters. It is quality that prompts more community members to comment on a discussion or reply to a comment. And,as I have understood it,quantity coupled with quantity brings huge earnings whereas quantity minus quality brings less.Am I right?

@else34 I wouldn't necessarily say that you're going to get huge earnings for that sort of activity. It all depends on the proprietary algorithm, the workings of which mere members such as us have never been privy to. But in general, yes. If you're going around leaving garbage responses like "..." on discussions, you're not going to earn because users aren't going to bother interacting with you. If that's the majority of your activity, you're probably going to be shown the door.

@yukimori Thanks for enlightening me,my friend. Now on I will interact keeping your words in mind. But I would like to say,I never write responses like,as you said," ".Now let me see when I reach my second dollar.I am focussed on contributing something meaningful here.Quality discussions, quality responses.....

If you check the guidelines you'll see quality is important too. It is better to have a quality discussion so more people can interact unlike posting a blog post or just a sentence or two, not everyone will reply to it and thus generally people who do that get less comments and earnings.

@Owstalaga,yes,you are absolutely right.Actually the question that came into my mind and I asked myself yesterday was,'What if someone interacts a lot,but it lacks quality?Would then their earnings be based on the quantity of their interaction or the poor quality of it?This was the question that prompted me to initiate this discussion.I am so thankful to you and all others who helped me find the answer. Thanks a lot, dear.

@Mukundrao,right.Quality is essential. You earn more if the quantity of your interaction is coupled with quality.
