Celebrate Life instead of Mourning Death

When a loved one dies, it is very hard emotionally. But, I think we should try to think positively and celebrate the life that they lived rather than mourn their death.
I think that is what our loved ones would have wanted us to do. They don't want us being sad that they're gone. Just reminisce the good times.
What do you think?

We say "sorry for your loss" because we know that the person left behind has suffered a loss. We are, in a way, celebrating their lives by acknowledging how much we will miss having them in our lives. We are really grieving for our loss, more than anything. Because our hearts are broken. And broken hearts take time to heal, no matter what.

I am originally from Louisiana, and it's divided into parishes. There is one parish that the natives call 'down the bayou'. The people in this area, will cry for births and they throw parties for deaths. It's simply their way. They say they cry for births, cause they know the hardship of life, and they party at deaths for a life is being sent to a better place then the world has offered them.

What an interesting practice they have there in Louisiana. Makes sense though!

@Angelee_27 Oh it's not all of Louisiana that does that, but certain areas (communities) that do. When I 1st heard of it, I thought it was a bit absurd. However, as I grew older, I tend to agree with their ways.

@TexanTornado It's certainly a bit odd, but I could see it happening. Very interesting.

I think there is a time for mourning , but after mourning , learn how to be happy again . The just deceased love one , we are sure is so happy in heaven already . So us the living , should also be happy while we live .

I think we all must allow grief.
And of course to think of all the good of a person and share the good with others.
