So, Black Sabbath have announced The End tour. I, for one, will most certainly be going to at least one date. I've been following them since I was nine years old. That's eleven years. I've been interested in Sharon, Ozzy's wife, for even longer. I love the members. I love their talent. I love their music. It's a shame to see a band that have been through so much for so long have to call it to rest, but if Tony says he can't do it any more, no one should argue. Health comes first. He's been doing this a very long time. Sometimes I feel like the days of bad managers when starting up, many name changes (Polka Tulk, Earth) and excessive drug use are barely behind us. I've gotten so involved with days of past that I feel like I was there, with them all the time. Or at least stalking them or something. I don't want to say goodbye. My favourite stories are definitely ones of pranking. Especially in that haunted house they worked in for a while. Or that prank where they put a full length mirror over Bill while he slept. I really hope Bill comes back for at least one show during this, which is, their farewell tour. Though I understand if he can't. Any Black Sabbath fans here? Care to share your favourite stories or memories? Do you prefer the days of the original Black Sabbath, the days after Ozzy left, or the days after they got back together? Favourite songs? (Mine is Paranoid, though Iron Man is a close second favourite.) Who's your favourite member of the band? Ever seen them live? I need to know there's more Sabbath fans around. (PS. The way Ozzy describes their first time in America in his book is priceless.)

I decided 10 years ago to listen to Black Sabbath and I liked some of their songs. Nirvana's vocalist - Kurt Cobain liked Black Sabbath, so, I decided to hear some. Their guitar is loud and clear, nice voice, cool dark subjects to sing about, some critical, some protest... My favorite song is - under the sun - it starts like a really good doom metal song and then continue as a nice song. It teaches to think as an individual and not to buy all the crap we are being fed with. Hand of Doom is also nice. I like the accord :-) I like Ozzy Osbourn's song - bark at the moon- Personally, my favorite metal genre is Doom, so, I like it's origins and Black Sabbath is one of them. Can you please tell me how come a 9 years old girl starts listening to music in such a way that she likes the band, follows the band? You know, their lyrics are like '...now you are gonna die...' (Hand Of Doom for example). Didn't you like something happier ? more popular like MTV pop, hip hop, glam rock ?
