Season 3 Episode 5 – Spoiler alerts. A landmark episode in that it introduces Bernadette, girlfriend and later, wife to Howard. This is a turning point in marking the end of Howard’s womanizing lechery, especially towards Penny. It is through Penny that Howard meets Bernadette who is working as a waitress at the same Cheesecake Factory diner that Penny works for (though the regular cast never seemed to notice Bernadette before this episode). Penny is talked into arranging a blind date for him through Leonard. Bernadette seems initially frosty and humourless, but her character softens as the relationship with Howard intensifies. He will be asking her to marry him within three episodes. The Sheldon sub-plot is funnier, in introducing his rolling conflict with Star Trek Next Generation Actor, Will Wheaton, (playing himself). Wheaton is quite a mean, ruthless character in the early appearances, but again, that will change later. Arthur Chappell

I can't hear that name without hearing the Bernadette song that shows up on that show at some point.

I love the Big Bang Theory. My wife introduced me to it about 3 years ago. We watched every episode up till the current season in a few weeks.
