The ideal holiday

I know many of you have probably been on holidays for a lot longer than I have. Now the best holidays I had were when I was young (child) with my parents (pretty much anywhere). As an adult, the best I had were in Greece at the seaside for 1 week with my girlfriend (who later became my wife). Now we have always wanted to have a longer holiday. We are thinking 10 days or 14 days maybe. In all of your experiences how long is the ideal holiday ? And what sort of destinations have you found best for spending your time ?

Forever would be a nice length 2 weeks is the longest holiday I have had and it was elsewhere in Australia to visit family and friends. Outside of Australia, I have only holidayed in Indonesia and Malaysia, also for 2 weeks. Since I live near the beach, I like to spend time in the country, generally camping in the bush. There are a few places on my bucket list. I'd love to go to Borneo to visit the orangutan sanctuaries and also to Ireland, Scotland and England. My ancestors were Cornish so, I'd love to go to Cornwall.

Oh it makes sense with the ancestors ! If you do come and visit us in the UK, make sure to give Bath a visit, it will be worth your time. Borneo sounds great, I would also like to visit Madagascar and maybe Sumatra. Belize is also on my list and I actually know someone there (he was here at uni for 2 years with me). Not being of origin from UK, it means that pretty much any destination is in a way foreign to me I guess, although living here it does make me want to visit elsewhere - it is a bit of a vicious circle. I love the seaside - but I especially love it when I can actually go into the sea. I would also really like to visit the USA, I got quite a few friends there who I would like to meet up with as well and see how they are in real life. I have never been to any Disneyland or other themed park anywhere in the world, so this is one of my sooner rather than later projects.

A day or two would be a dream come true... and if it'll last for a week that would be too much for me. Even how short the time permits me to be with my love ones, I will make sure to spend every second of it to the fullest that will give all of us, memories that will last forever. Even breakfast together or day in park will be very special if enjoyed together with our family and friends.
