Do you play Facebook games?

As I always can't find enough time to do what I wanted, so I stopped playing games. Playing games can be really time consuming and make me feel not productive at all. I haven't been playing Facebook games for perhaps 3 years, as I can be really addicted to the game once I started. I didn't play the Candy Crush when almost everyone around me was talking and playing. My son has always been telling me about the Facebook game, Cower Defense for quite a long time, as he saw his dad playing it. He kept asking me why I don't play game and wanted to teach me to play, just once. I started to look into the game yesterday, and now I think I am addicted to it. I know I already have a lot of things piled up and waiting for me to do, I know it's wasting my time to play the game (glad that I don't have much energy to play), I know there are many better things to do, but I still fell into the trap. Hope I will get bored to the game very soon, or find a addiction killer for it. Do you play any Facebook games or online games?

Sometimes I think it's good not to play any online games, as it really saves us time. But I have been enjoy playing games since I was young, and I always wished I have more time to play games.

@kaka135 I know how it feels because it seems to give you some pleasure and addiction. I remember the day I was so addictive with Plant vs Zombie and Ranch Rush ( gardening game ). They are really exciting and I stop after my computer broken and I removed it too from my smartphone because of memory

@redvakaurvaki I get many invitations as well and I always ignore them but they keep coming. @kaka135 I enjoy playing games too, but I prefer team games at home with friends. I am a great fan of taboo, jenga, trivial pursuit and many others.

I was a zynga games addict back then. I played Farmville, then Farmville 2, Pioneer Trail and so on. It was like a 24/7 habit. I was very competitive, I didn't want my neighbors to out-level me, lol! I quit playing a couple of years ago. I realized I was gaining so much weight already as I preferred to be sitting in front of my computer than do other activities. I am glad I was able to kick the habit.

Yes, I was addicted while playing FarmVille and FarmVille 2 too. Zynga games were so popular those days. I wonder how their games become now. I was having fun while leveling up, especially when a group of friends were playing together, and we were sending energy or gifts to each other. I think my elder son was not born yet, so I can have some time to play game, but now with two young children, I think I really shouldn't be addicted to games anymore. Glad that you were able to stop playing. But, I think after playing for some time, I just got bored playing the same thing over and over again, then I just stopped playing.

I hate those things with a passion. For some reason games are one aspect of computerised technology that have never appealed to me whatsoever.

@kaka135 A friend of mine passed a lot of CDs to me when he bought a new computer back in the 1990s. There were a couple of computer games included, but after quickly checking them I chose not to bother at all.

@Asylum I have always been wanting to play computer games since I was studying, especially those role-playing games. But those require too much time to play, and I was busy studying, then working, then taking care of children, so I only play simple games. I always told my husband I'll really play the games I like when I am retired, or when the children are grown ups, but he always says I will have more better things to do than play games.

Good that you don't like them. I always think there are more important and meaningful work to do with the computer, though I do play games sometimes.

Nope. I've never played one game on there. Why do that when I can play games that pay me a little bit to run them?

@kaka135 Some games don't pay you, but there is one GPT you can run a game and it pays you a little of the profits. I think that's better when the companies shares with you. Am I right?

What I am afreid of is starting to play a game and getting so addicted to it that I can't stop. I don't want that happening, so it is best I don't start. I would much rather be in here anyway, than playing games anyday.

Yes, you are right! I can be addicted to anything easily, so I have to find something healthier to do. Mylotting, handworking and learning are good things to be addicted to.

@kaka135 I also do knitting and crocheting, besides mylot. I feelthat both of them are much healthier than playing games, however I will do puzzles.

@rosekiss Yes, I think that too. And, we get some products to use after those activities. I think puzzles are good too!

I get addicted to facebook games too, that's the reason I am not playing either. I truly believe they are a waste of time, you need to check them every few hours if you want to progress quickly. Then they have this feature where you ask for stuff by posting them on the public profile. I don't like posting anything in relation to the games and they become very slow and that's when I quit.

@besweet I think you can stop the notifications for game request in Facebook if you want to.

Yes, I agree that they are really waste of time. I remember when I stopped playing, and I kept seeing others playing Candy Crush, I was just thinking it's really wasting time. Luckily I was just addicted to the game for one day, then I moved on, it's actually quite boring after playing for quite some time.

@kaka135 I still get notifications from candy crash. It was a good game but after some point I got bored too. It's great that you could move on so quickly.

Used to play Restaurant City and another game on FB. Don't think I'll be playing any FB game anytime soon. Too busy.

Yeah, I played Restaurant City long time ago too. Yes, it's really too time consuming to play games as there are so many more important things to work on.

I used to play facebook games but with the poor internet connection in my area, I decided to stop. I got hooked on poker on fb before...

I have found games stealing my time more than once. I have decided that like any addict it is all or nothing. I stopped playing games cold turkey, I never even logged in to any games for months, then one day I had a bit of spare time so I thought I would just play for half an hour. Like you once in that was it and I was hooked again. Well three days ago I went cold turkey once again but this time I will not be dipping my toes into any games again. I have learned my lesson. Quit as soon as possible, time is too precious to waste like this :D

Yes, you are right. It's totally fine if we don't touch the game for long time. I removed all the game apps in my Facebook, and stopped all the notifications about games as well, as I am more concern about the notifications for those helpful groups I am subscribing (homeschooling & parenting), I don't want my notifications to be filled by the game requests. I like what you said, time is too precious to waste like this. I'd prefer to get addicted to mylot, as I will be interacting with others and learning from others as well.

I'd like to say I don't play, but I do. I used to do Candy Crush and many others that my friends play, but currently the only FB game I play is Panda Pop. I have a solitaire game on my tablet that I play here and there, but mostly I'm writing here or somewhere.

I think if you have spare time, it's okay to play. I think I will still like playing games when I have more time. I don't know about Panda Pop. My husband still plays solitaire on his laptop once in a while, as it seems to help him to think or release pressure.
