Eyes bigger than my stomache!

Ever had one of those eyes bigger than you stomache moments? Like certain food expands once it hits your stomache, and then makes you way more full than you wanted? I need to learn to wait a bit longer before going for that second plate, because now I am super full. Life is like this to, you know, we bite off more than we can chew, or realize that what we thought was an anthill is really a mountain, but we had no idea!

Some food always tastes like more. And probably, I really need just a taste more. But I end up taking another portion and that's too much. I should learn to wait ten or fifteen minutes.

that was my mistake, going for seconds before my tummy had time to tell my brain that I was full

@Jessicalynnt We all make such mistakes, particularly when something is very tempting

The other night I ate too much of my great veggies soup and I felt so bloated all night. Never again!

I had leftovers of what I ate yesterday that caused this post, and limited myself to one plate, I was much happier, lol

I think many of us do that without realizing what we are doing.

I eat a little at a time and drink lots of water. That way I do not eat to much food at one time.

portion control is a pretty good idea, and that looks tasty

My father used to say that to me. I like your analogy. I do still tend to bite off more in life than I can chew at times.

I think maybe many of us do, we want to feel like we can easily do everything, and sometimes need to be more realistic.

Sometimes it can be the other way too. What you think is a mountain, could very well turn out to be a molehill
