A Busy Saturday

Yesterday was a busy day. Daisy had a vet appointment for her second set of shots and did beautifully. She is up to a little over 5 pounds now so that is up over a pound since 3 weeks ago. I was so afraid that I hadn't been feeding her enough because she acts like she is starving every time she is fed. The vet said she is perfect and at the right weight. We dropped Daisy back off at the house with Bella then headed out to go shopping. I bought a new comforter and pillows for my bed and a new shower curtain. I will have to take pictures once I get my room together. Next we went for haircuts and after that we went grocery shopping. I hate going to to grocery store. We live in a college town and ASU had a game yesterday. Everybody was at the store buying stuff to either tailgate or for snacks at home. I was so glad when we got back home. My brother fixed hamburgers for dinner with Red Robin fries which they sold at the grocery store. Our dinner was so good, then we sat back and watched reruns of The Worst Cooks of America. What did you do yesterday? Did you have a busy day as well?

You had a pretty busy day. I'm glad that Daisy is doing well. We had a dog who was always hungry, and you do have to be careful not to overfeed them.

@ChesneyM Oh yes, I remember the soulful eyes. Our dog was a cross between an Old English Sheepdog and a labrador. I loved her to bits, but she's been gone a long time now.

My big dog seems to think she needs to eat all the time, I have had to cut her back on her food as I don't want her to get overweight.

We are a little upset with the breeder right now. When we picked up Daisy, she said she had to look for the papers because she had been sick and in the hospital. That was a red flag to me but I tried to be sympathetic and said we would check back in a couple of weeks. I followed up with her again and she said she had just got out of the hospital. My brother is making the next call and I feel for her because this is all making him a little upset. I really doubt we will get those papers. It doesn't matter to me because I am happy with Daisy but my brother did spend a lot of money for her because she was registered.

My Saturdays are quiet pretty much, but I do like to play Christian music and sing along. I went to church in the morning, and came home, called my daughter, and then played my Christian music until sundown, then I watched some Netflix.

@rosekiss I used to enjoy peace and quiet until Daisy came into the picture . Seriously though, I do like having time to myself.

Usually I spend Saturdays at the shul but I can relate to the college town shopping. I don't live in a college town, but if I want lots of variety, then we travel about 30 miles away to a college town and yes, sometimes it is a madhouse, but it is so worth it.

@simone10 Yes, I am sure there is always something to do, but on certain days, liken "parents day" where the family of the student visits and whenever a home game is being played, the town and restaurants are packed full..

@Carmelanirel2 You got that right! This town is very supportive of the college and all of their sports.

Overall, I love living in this small college town. There always seems to be something to do.

I hate it! It seems like everyone is so rude and so slow. They block the aisles and don't seem to care if you are trying to get by.

Omg my Saturday was hectic. Worked until 5pm then had to go to a dinner party at 7pm but was stuck in crazy traffic until 8pm! Got home 11pm and was shattered!

Yes, I had a pretty busy day in the afternoon went to another town and went shopping and stopped a few other places while there. ASU so I used to live in that town and know exactly what you mean about how crowded it gets when they have the games there at the stadium. I am glad that the vet says Daisy is doing good.

What a small world! I actually love the small town feel of Jonesboro but when there is a game, we try to avoid it.

I suppose that no matter what you had for dinner, it would have to seem pretty tasty if you eat it while watching the Worst Cooks in America.

My Saturday wasn't quite as busy. I was sick most of the day and felt better by 4pm. I went on and outing with my boyfriend and his family then spent the night at his house. I hate going grocery shopping when something big is happening in our town also. I did mine Friday night and it wasn't busy then. Glad everything went well at the vet.

I hate to grocery shop anyway and when you add the football game to the mix, it was awful.
