Ahead of his trip to the United States, Pope Francis travels to Cuba today. People there are dancing in the street, first time in many years.
During his 9-day visit to Cuba and the U.S., Francis will become the first pope to address Congress. He's the third pontiff to visit Cuba in the last 17 years.
His visit means much to both countries leaders, as Pope Francis secretly brokered the agreement to restore relations between the U.S. and Cuba and advocated for the release of Alan Gross, the American who was held by the Cubans for five years before his release in 2014. I have many cuban friends here in the usa.. they all say that thanks to the Pope they feel so much safer there now. Its a great day in america..

Greetings, Maria!
It's so great to see some public figures like the Pope doing such a great job towards humanity! Cuba has been, for a long while, held down by the bigger countries. They're doing what they can with what they have. I'm not sure how life is in Cuba, but I'm sure it mustn't be bad at all. They have basically alphabetized the whole country. They're advanced in terms of health. I'm not sure how are the unemployment taxes in there, but I've heard they're not bad. It's a whole different system, with its up and downsides.
Great to see them coming back!
