Words I'm tired of hearing and/or dislike

I am a foodie and as such you would assume that the first word I'm tired of hearing is one that would fit perfectly. Wrong...I cannot stand the word 'yummy'. There is something about it that just turns me off.
This one is a phrase and I just heard it the other day. We were talking to the neighbor and he said, "I took the wife out for breakfast." The phrase 'the wife' makes it sound like she is some object instead of his wife, his loved one, the person who washes his dirty undies.
In that same general theme another word that drives me bonkers is ''hubby'. I don't have a hubby, I have a husband. Just like he has a wife not a 'wifie'.
Count how many times in a day you hear or read the word 'absolutely'...way too many times.
In summary:
I know there are more but my hubby just called me his wifie and I am absolutely upset that he ate the last slice of that yummy chocolate cake I made.

I just giggled. Some of those words don't bother me, but I do agree there are many other words for yummy that are better than well yummy, tasty, delicious, etc!

To my brain yummy is something you say to a child or a child says about food.
