Hey friends.. Happy to get back to you guys again. Lately I was not active since 3 yrs was busy with my toddler. Since he started schooling now I can put some time on Mylotting again. Coming to the topic recently an academy award has been announced for a person in karnataka who always hurts many people's faith by talking bad words against religion and destructs the peace and harmony. also his writings are not so good even his translation are worse and god should save those who read it. so do you think such a person should get award? many people are appealing govt and academy to withdraw award and signing the petition. Should the academy reconsider with their decision or justify the people with their selection? Happy Mylotting Dear Friends

How can your government give him the award when he doesn't deserve it ? Yes, it's better to make a petition to nullify the award given .

Because he seems to be a best friend of the CM which he revealed yesterday in and interview in an journal. Our CM is a person who is always against the majority people's belief and always sleeps in the cabinet meetings and does nothing good for the state. Because of money power he is in ruling party. Next election i am sure people will ditch him out for sure for all the things he did in past 2.5 yrs.

It is impossible to say whether this is a right or wrong thing without knowing more about the award and the recipient. Are you saying that nobody should awarded with anything unless they hold a particular set of beliefs?

No I dont mean that but the recipient should be eligible one. I dont say its wrong to speak his mind but I say its wrong to convey the message with vulgar words which hurts many people and their faiths. He can criticize but not with very bad and cheap words. I hesitate to use his words here they are simply disgusting.

@chaitra001 It's still not all that easy to work out what the problem is! However, I would agree with you that it is not right to use foul and/or abusive language in public, whatever the circumstance.

@indexer he is using such abusive words just to become popular. he is aged around 70 but does not have that maturity. should have been a guide to youths like us but he is just destroying the harmony and peace of the state.

I think those who do not deserve an award should not be awarded unnecessarily. May be it (award) is fixed that is why he is getting it.

obviously the award is a controversial decision and the winner who I don't know, probably has as many enemies and fans and supporters. The award going to him will help make people talk about the decision and get lots of publicity and generate business for the people giving out the award - hence the decision to pick him.
