Sewing a felt needle book

My simple felt needle book

I have made a felt needle book 3 years ago, when I just started to learn sewing. My kids have been really into sewing these few days, so I thought it's time to make a needle book for my son. At first, my son wanted to make it his own. After discussing, we decided to give him my existing one, and I would make another one. My existing needle book consists of 7 pages, but I only use one page for keeping the needles. So, I just made a very simple one, just to keep the threading needles. I don't keep scissors and crochet hooks in the needle book too, I will make another case for them. While the children were sewing, I sewed my needle book too. Finally, I have completed the very simple needle book. I also made two simple pockets to keep some small tools. Next, I will also make three pincushions (for me, my son and my daughter), and a strap to hold my measuring tape. Do you have a needle book or case? Do you enjoy sewing?

Quite interesting to see your son being interested in your needle book

It's because he likes sewing as well. I guess kids always likes to do things the parents do, or likes the parents' things.

Where do you keep your needles? I looked for ideas on how to keep my needles when I started to learn how to sew a few year ago, and found many good tutorials on needle book.

@Freelanzer It's okay. My mum put the needles in the container, where she bought them too. She also has some needles that just poke on the pincushion. I can't do that, as I have two young children at home, so putting them in the needle book makes me feel safer.

@kaka135 I keep them in the same packets they were purchased in all in a drawer - I know, not very organized
