Working one day out of seven

Tomorrow (Friday) I will be working from 7am to 4pm as I do every Friday. Sometimes I think it was easier when I worked 3 days per week and had some continuity. However, I retired and took up this one day, (my penance?) Which means I wont be around on My lot for a few days, because after Friday comes the week end with all its offers and delights. Happy Friday every one, and I will be back soon

I only work for 38 days a year (on the turnstiles at the races) and three of those days are yesterday, today and tomorrow. I enjoy it though. See you after the weekend, though I won't be here too much as we're going away for a few days.

@jaboUK Hope you enjoy your break. We have a three day holiday here and I'm just going to be lazy and do nothing much.

@valmnz hi val. Monday 28th is for the Queen's birthday. Apparently she has a few different days every year. I wonder if she gets presents for each of them.

For me every day is Sunday, but I see that I have a spring in my step doing what I enjoy most - taking pictures and gardening.

I am sure you are sleeping by now, tapping your head on the pillow. Have a great day and a fun weekend.

How I envy your lifestyle! Over here in Singapore, people are simply working too hard and working too much. Even old people like to work. I think they want to work to avoid taking care of their grandchildren. i know of many old people in their 70s and 80s who are still working full time. It is their second or third job after official retirement.

@scheng1 Hi. When your people retire do they get a pension from the State so they don't need to work anymore. Over here we have a pension for retirees. Still, sometimes it is hard to give up work especially if you love what you do. My son left to go to Singapore on Friday for a holiday. We really love it

@glenniah I often hear many people are busier once they retire than they ever were when they were working! Don't let them take advantage of you though! Only do what you can do and you are comfortable with.

When I was working part time, until this time last year, I was doing four mornings a week and Friday was my day off! I still think of Friday as being special. That is a beautiful sunrise ? sunset - is it taken from your place?
