I did. My wife had a 2.5 year old son when we started dating. We got married and he is now my step son and turning 7 soon.

I admire people who love their parent's kids like their own. I had a friend and if she hadn't told me that her father was her step father in fact I had no idea about it

I guess I wouldn't mind it so much, but I would prefer not to. I'd like to only have to worry about my own kids.
