Reviving this discussion. In the world of martial arts, Who's The Man?
Why ask who is the best? Bruce Lee versus Jet Li versus Jackie Chan.
Bruce Lee is the best. End of discussion!
If you don't believe me, just ask Jet Li and Jackie Chan. Bruce Lee was so good they had to really try extra hard to create a dividing line and make themselves look as if they were different. Because they knew they couldn't be better! Mr. Lee is an impossible act to follow!

If I am not mistaken, Jackie Chan was very young when he starred in the film of Bruce Lee. Lee hit Chan accidentally but Jackie was happy despite the pain, because his idol fought with him. I saw his interview once.

You're not mistaken. Jackie Chan was one of the extras in Enter the Dragon.

I still prefer Jackie Chan over Bruce Lee. At least the former is funny and his movies doesn't really include any blood at all.
Bruce Lee is too brusque for me.

To each his own. You're entitled to your selection or choice. But even Jackie Chan and Jet Li admit that they bow to the master Bruce Lee. I've heard them in interviews. They have great admiration and respect for Bruce Lee as a “gold standard” in martial arts. Thanks for commenting.

I actually remember Jackie Chan saying that in an interview, there can't be another Bruce Lee, so he added his own style...at times adding humor.

Most definitely Bruce Lee was best martial arts movie star. I have been to his grave in Seattle.
