We were asked this question, last year, while I was doing my M-Tech 4th semester I guess.
We were told to introduce ourselves and answer.
I simply said, I would take my military knife and a navigator compass so that I can reach home safely!

that's a realistic response. most of us would say I would take my laptop, my phone and my boyfriend/girlfriend

It's an interesting question which has been asked many many times. Personally speaking, I would take as many stuffs as possible. But if I could only take two or three things, I would like to take a stainless knife and a lighter. I need the knife to acquire food and use the lighter to light a fire. You know fire is indispensable in wild life. But even equipped with these tools, it's still hard for ordinary people to survive in a desert island.
