South African rugby fans everywhere will be breathing a sigh of relief after our team completed a convincing win against Samoa. The final score was 46-6. I'm not much of a rugby fan and only watched a few minutes here and there, but I'm sure that @Inlemay and @bluesa were glued to their TV sets throughout.

@jaboUK I'm sorry to hear that. I wasn't watching, but I thought when I saw a score earlier that England were comfortably ahead.

@Gina145 Yes they were 10 points clear for most of the match, but then it all went downhill

@Gina145 , you took the words right out of my mouth, I was glued to the tv. Thank goodness we saved face after last weeks disaster. As an aside, I hope the Proteas will do better in India, they have a lot to prove too.

I hope the Proteas have a good trip of India too. The last few months have been rather disappointing. But back to the rugby, Jean de Villiers injury is really sad. It sure takes a bit of the gloss off yesterday's win.

@bluesa It seems that's the story of his life. I didn't realise that injury had kept him out of the last three world cups before this one. It's really cruel that his hopes should end this way.

@Gina145 , yes, and after all he has been through to make it to the world cup, recovering from such a big knee op, putting himself through so much pain to make it into the team, this truly is sad.

@ison_1 Hi John, That sounds like a tougher assignment than our game against Samoa. When are your team playing?
