Suggesting

I know that each writing site like this works somewhat differently. Most have similar ways about them and the process is about the same. But here in MyLot we have suggestions. I know some people suggest all their posts to all their followers. But i have done that just a handful of times. I am wondering if it would good to suggest all my posts. Does it really increase exposure to all my posts? Or does sharing my links on social media also help. I don’t know. I am assuming that suggesting my posts and others as well, should increase exposure and get more interaction on them. This is a short post but one that I hope I will get some advise on from other members. Do the members like getting these suggestions or do they hate getting them. I don’t want to annoy members. I just want the members, especially my friend here to get a chance to see my content. I don’t think that’s asking too much. What do you think? Are there members here that suggest all their posts every time they write one? I think there are a few. I don’t mind getting the suggestions really. I think it is a great idea. Just a little feedback here would be appreciated. Thanks for this. I appreciate that. I will start suggesting them slowly I guess. Unless someone expresses they don't want to get any. Although we can shut that option off in setting I think.

I suggested a few of them. But I realized that you have to go through everyone of your followers to do it. So I found it somewhat time consuming.

@mommaj I agree. But who knows. Maybe they will do away with that at some point. In a way it's a nice feature, but ultimately it is not sensible.

Neither do I suggest nor do I open that suggest box. At this moment I have 45 waiting for me. I look in people and explore and even open profiles of those where I find interesting stuff. Full stop.

I do go into the suggestions on MyLot and I do check those posts out. I don't mind that. But for me to send out suggestions, it will take a long time.

I always suggest my post every time i submit it , Anyway , it won't flood my friend's notifications because the most is two in a day and it's with a big gap since i submitted the first one .

@SIMPLYD I go to the Explore tab usually all the time. I haven't been lately because I have been taking care of all my notifications and suggestions. Once I am done with that, I usually try and submit a post and then get to the Explore tab.

I tried suggesting. But I have too many followers to try and start picking and choosing. I guess my followers could catch my posts from the Explore tab on top.

I do suggest my posts and some of other people's, but only to those people who have suggested to me. That way I know they don't mind getting them. I like to get them myself, as I don't want to miss any of my friends' posts.

The one problem is that when I do go to suggest a post, all my followers come up. There is like 400 of them. It would take me time to find certain people. I have to work on that one.

@inertia4 Oh I can understand your problem with all that many followers. I don't even know if there's an option to send to all of them at once, but I wouldn't want to do that anyway. As I said, I just pick the ones out that suggest to me, but it's relatively easy to do with less than 100 followers.

So far I haven't seen much increase in using the suggestions--in fact I would like to delete some of the names on my list but haven't figured out how to do that yet unless it is deleting followers!!!

Sounds good to me. I know I should suggest my posts. That way they will get some exposure. And that way others can actually read them if they choose.

't first they drove me a bit bonkers, but i was able to be on here more oft 'n didn't miss so many. these days though, i welcome the suggestions. worst case scenario? folks don't care to read 'em 'n that's jest fine. no harm done either angle.

I hear that and it does make sense. They could always discard them if they don't want them. But there might be a few that just hates getting them. I will go slow as I said.
