Sleep Deprivation is BAD!!!

I finally realized what "disease" I have. I probably have chronic sleep deprivation for several years now? Self diagnosed of course so let's take it with a grain of salt.
As I idly scrolled through my FB news feed a few hrs ago, I saw a video (auto play) about sleep deprivation and it's negative effects (but I can't find it anymore!!!) Dang! Only then did it hit me. I haven't been sleeping too much because I don't like to and then I see how bad it's effect is!
The video showed it can cause, heart attacks/problems, diabetes, depression, memory problems and more! OMG.
Somebody stop meeeeh! I'm doing it again right now! Let's all stop keeping ourselves from sleeping from now on! Who's with me? Or maybe I'm the only one around here who does it?
Maybe you should watch this instead:

The brain uses a quarter of the body's entire energy supply, yet only accounts for about two percent of the body's mass. So how does this unique organ receive and, perhaps more importantly, rid itself of vital nutrients? New research suggests it has to do

@SIMPLYD Oh maybe you have insomnia?
It can be stressful to have that indeed.

Whoa~ 2-4 days of having trouble sleeping? Why oh why? That's so tiring! Now I know we all have our own sleep issues.

@owstalaga 's fer the why, there seems to be no logical answers. i'm good to go though with 4-5 hours'n then it starts all o'er 'gain. i do tend to get lots done though, durin' those sleepless hours. 'n a positive note, the dark circles under my eyes kinda hide the wrinkles

I really feel that ones own body clock is going to tell you how much to sleep. You cant sleep if you dont want to.
Good article, but I am not sure how applicable it is in reality.
I hope that you are okay friend though.

Yes that's right, our body definitely tells us what it needs but if we choose to ignore it that's when the problem starts I think. For some people, even if they want to sleep they cannot.
Anyway, I am doing okay even though I'm a little under the weather. Thanks for the concern.

For sure. I usually try my best to get enough sleep but sometimes when I'm too occupied with something it's easy to lose track of time.

Yes that's so true! When I do any design and get absorbed in it, I don't even get to eat and don't want to rest until I finish what I'm doing.

@owstalaga I can relate to that. It was worse when I was a teenager, because at time with less responsibilities I just wanted to continue doing what I like doing and that made me lose a few hours of sleep.

Somehow I don't find it hard to sleep, I choose not to sleep if possible but I should not!
Must start sleeping enough so I can age better?

Yeah. We feel and look dreadful when we lack sleep.
After seeing that video I have decided I should go back to sleep normally even if I don't like to sleep unless needed because our BRAIN needs it.
