I bet car dealers watch craigslist

Last night at 9:30pm I saw a really gorgeous van on craigslist for sale. It was a 2006 Chrysler Town and Country minivan. Price was $2495 and it had 117,000 miles on it. What made it totally worth it was the condition it was in. It was literally like new looking. Not a speck of rust and under the hood it was all grease free and could have been shown off in a car show it was that clean. It said that it was listed on craigslist 6 days ago. It is about a two hour drive to where this seller was. It was too late I felt to call last night. My dad called them for me this morning and it was already sold. Wow I am so disappointed. I wonder if car dealers watch craigslist daily and buy things that are in good shape to resell higher.

Around here most of the car dealers just go to auctions and get what they get. But I suppose some of the smaller dealers might look on Craigslist for a good deal, especially if they know what they can really get for it.

This literally happened again this morning. I found on craigslist a 2003 Mazda MPV LX in gorgeous shape. 110,000 miles, came with 3 month / 4,500 mile warranty and was only $2999.99. It was about an hour and a half from me. My dad called first thing this morning and it was already sold. I was so bummed once again... but I did find another van I bought today that I am going to make a post about!
