My job is dead boring. Whole day in and out, I just have to do data entry. We have to set up accounts for customers, so the job is just data entry of names, addresses, phone and whatever else they want to put in.

I no longer work at a job per se. When I did I was mostly at my cubicle, on the phone, on the computer, doing paperwork and other mundane stuff. But, I was always having fun. I was the only guy surrounded by six women, one of which was only sixteen. So, I had lots of fun joking and talking and sharing. It was good. My function was credit and collections manager for a major national company.

@scheng1 Not as bad a job as you would think. There is always room for innovative ideas in procedure etc...I used to love going to court to sue due to breach of contract. We once decided to hire a lawyer to do the job but that turned out to be a waste of money. I was also allowed to go out of town to do audits with our larger companies like the chemical plants etc...Pretty cool job. I did it 6 years until I had a feeling the company was going to be bought out. So, I left and sure enough, three months later they closed down. Go figure.

some data entry jobs give incentives based on quantity and accuracy

@hereandthere Not at all. There is no benefit when we work late, and we do not even have the choice to come to work late the next day.
