Its not just about the turkey and food that we eat on this day! its about what we are thankful for...the Native Americans (Indians) started this holiday/tradion a long time ago! it is to remind us to be thankful and happy with what we have and what we are given in life.

Today we went to my sister-in-law's house and had a delicious meal of turkey, mashed potatos, gravey, stuffing, rolls, salad, cranberries, and pumpkin pie. Before we ate we blessed the food and then everyone took a turn to tell what he is thankful for this year. This holiday is to commemorate the survival of the pilgrims who first settled America. What country are you from?

to us it is about being with your family being thankful for what you have. over eating and feeling horrible for doing it.
