South Africa have just scored a big victory against India in a T20 cricket match to take a 2-0 lead in their 3 match series. The South African team were in control throughout the match and it might almost be said that the biggest opposition on the day was the India spectators whose bad behaviour led to a delay of about an hour in the late stages of the match.
What I fail to understand is why anyone would pay good money to watch a match, then act like a hooligan because their team is losing. It was a really frustrating game to watch.

Thanks @Rollo1 . That kind of thing doesn't happen so often in cricket. Bad behaviour is usually associated with soccer, which is a sport I don't watch. Our cricket team will be in India until early December, so I hope they won't have to put up with more of this behaviour from the Indian fans.

Sports seem to make people act really stupid when their team losses.

Ya, disappointed with such behavior. It was done by a single stand in a crowd and not the whole crowd. Just one stand's nonsense behavior led others to shame. So it was not in a good note. But I can understand their feelings as they had got to see a match after long time and they had paid good amount to see good cricket form home team but it was not so. I can understand their anger but the medium of expression was wrong.
I fear the next crowd at eden gardens today is a bit passionate. So another pale performance could trigger such incident.
Basically south Indian crowds are more controlled in passion.

@Gina145 Ya , I know they were trying to win. But they had got a game after many years I mean that ground. So, people were disappointed but what happened was bad. Meanwhile congratulations for close win in 1st ODI, I still couldn't get how India managed to lose the game!!

And if they feel so terrorized as you are saying they can move back to South Africa. No problem with that. As safety is first. But I feel Indian players were more threatened than any south African player.
