Apparently I'm descended from extra-terrestrials!

That's because my blood group is A Rh Neg, and according to the Conspiracy Club website we Rhesus Negatives are descended from an alien race that visited this planet thousands of years ago.
The Rh Negs were created, through genetic manipulation, to be a race of slaves. They would be prevented from interbreeding with other humans by making it impossible for a Rh Neg mother to breed with a Rh Pos father (they can, but there are often problems that midwives need to be aware of).
It's an interesting theory, but why is it perfectly feasible for a couple to breed if the male is Neg and the female is Pos? I don't see how this theory works!
Incidentally, the Conspiracy Club website is crammed full of nonsense like this - it's highly amusing if you've got nothing better to do!

It's because those of us who are Rh-negative completely lack the protein on the surface of our blood cells. Because an Rh-positive baby will have that protein, the mother's body can create antibodies that cross the placenta and attack the fetus' blood cells, causing anemia. I had to have shots of Rh immunoglobulin during both of my pregnancies to keep that from happening, since it can cause severe issues for the developing fetus.
There's no issue with an Rh-negative male breeding with an Rh-positive female because the mother's immune system won't attack cells that lack the protein if the baby is Rh-negative. If the mother doesn't have the recessive gene that codes for Rh-negative blood, the baby will just be Rh-positive because that's the dominant trait.

I'm sure you're right, but the facts must annoy the conspiracy theorists who would no doubt love it if the two were entirely incompatible!

I had a friend who was a fanatic for such websites and believed every conspiracy theory that he read. There was a time that he would try hard to convince me by repeating some of the absurd so called facts that appeared on the websites, but he finally conceded and stopped bothering.

I also enjoy watching this sort of things, from time to time. There are so many groups like that this days, each with a crazier theory than the other, is ammusing, as long as you don't take it too seriously. I find ammusing how SCIENCE is the ultimate matter of believe for this people, when it comes to refer to people like me, who belives in let's say, traditional religions and believes, and how they speak of some sort of "Official Science", in a despective mode, when reasoning their arguments.
Ok, good luck looking for your Annunaki forefathers

conspiracy theorists don't exist - the government makes them up - that's my theory.

Read Yuki's comment above for a description of what the Rhesus factor means. All blood groups can be either Rhesus positive or negative - I'm "A Negative", my wife's "O positive". I believe that the proportion of positive to negative is the same across all blood groups, but I'm open to correction on this.
