what do you think about the animals displayed at the zoo?

I'm torn by the dilemma @swissheart . On the one hand, at least they are safe; on the other, I hate the confinement.

Hey there, swissheart. There was a time when I enjoyed going to the Zoo. I thought it was really fun. I could see the lion, the crocodiles and all the other animals gathered in one place. An incredible experience, I would think. Nowadays, though, it also saddens me. They say they have specialists that study the animal's environment and create a suitable home for them in the Zoo, with enough space. However, it is clear to me that the animals kind of lose their will to live. They're not in nature anymore. They're confined. They don't have to hunt nor to hide from predators. They don't explore, since the area is limited. They just are there. It is really depressing... Respectfully.

I like seeing the animals inI the zoo and I have never thought of their feelings.I would like to think that they are happy there but on the other hand, when I hear animals dying there because of malnutrition and dehydration then I am concerned of their life. The last time I went, to the zoo elephants were gone, tigers and crocs. All their cages were empty and I'm sad about it. If this would kill them, then I'd rather not want any animals in the zoo.
