sales calls when expecting an important call

I'm expecting a phone call to tell me whether or not I got a job today - probably not though. Four times the phone has rung and I've excitedly picked it up thinking it's the news I want only to find a sales pitch from the other end of the line. Grrr.

These calls are becoming increasingly annoying whether we need the telephone to be free or not. It seems insane that they should still be telephoning to point out that PPI can be reclaimed, as if there is any chance that someone has not heard yet.
It annoys me further that they have now become too lazy to man the telephones their self, but use a recorded message instead.

I really hate the recorded sales call which it is impossible to shout at or tell to never call again

@arthurchappell The perplexing one is the old PPI refund. This is still being promoted on a very constant basis, as I am sure you are fully aware.
Why on Earth are they still bothering to pester people about this? Surely there cannot be a single person in Britain who is unaware of it by now.

I really hate it when I keep getting stupid phone calls while waiting for an expected one @arthurchappell hope you get the call you're waiting for.
