I love a good Garage Sale! Or should I say Garage Sales? It is like a chip can't just stop at one! He he he L.O.L.[em]lol[/em But last week was just really disappointing , I mean Really? I was looking at this Turtle it was like a Nick Knack thing that you put in your yard and it was really cute but had some chips on it and I asked the lady how much for the turtle? She said let me ask my husband and he said it has never been used so $5.00? I was thinking are you kidding me? It was kinda dirty and chipped! Never been used? Yeah right! I can get one for a dollar at the dollar store come on!!! Then some girl walked up and asked how much for the shirts and skirts? When I heard her say $5.00 again I walked to the car and said done!!! Bye!! To me that is not a good garage sale! I will tell you what is I got the cutest Kitty Pajamas never used got 3 pair and they were 50 cents each! I wear them every night well change after one you know? I got a brand new really nice purse for 2 Dollars! Now tat to me is a good Garage Sale!! But that was a few weeks before but last week I kept running into things that were just not worth it! Has this ever happened to you?

I have seen sales like that. When the costs are too high I just go to the next one.

@jahernandezrivas Yes and most people when they are having a garage/yard sale it is because they want to get rid of the clutter in their house. Of course for the people wanting $5 for everything in the yard it sounds as if they just want to earn some money. I have seen a few houses here that keep stuff on their lawns day in and day out. It is a constant yard sale and I don't stop at them unless I see something that catches my eye. I don't want to buy something that has set out in the weather for weeks straight.

@jahernandezrivas Sometimes the rummage next door is priced more reasonably than the one you are at. Kinda crazy sometimes....

@marlina it is quite a bit of work if you are having a yard sale yourself. My sister always starts harping on a yard sale every spring and she never has one. I am not really interested in having one myself. I don't like the idea of so many people tramping around my yard and I think its easier to send things to a consignment shop.

I love running into good yard sales! I'm so used to yard sales sometimes unless I have no other choice. But I agree you know what price points you are looking for and yea the $5 item that has seen better days makes me laugh. Some people seem to think they can get e-bay or thrift store prices and if someone was wise they'd just watch the clearance rack and get NEW

I love garage saleing, but those expensive sales turn me off. The last couple of weeks I've gone to some really great, cheap ones, and got way too much stuff! But it's cold and rainy this weekend, and I think yard sale season is over until next year, unfortunately.
