Hi Mylot Friends, Retirement means, retirement from the work and retierment from the income source, but not from expenditure, we cannot avoid some expenses even after retirement and there is lot of scope for more expenditure and have more time and leisure to explore different places and different luxuries like jolly trips etc etc.

I came to the realization that retirement is sort of nice but at the same time stressful. I also think that before you retire you should do it in style. Only have the electric, water, phone, internet, food and cable to pay each month. Then you can retire in style. Have fun and plan wisely.

You are correct. Unfortunately today many don't have the money they will need and may be forced into retirement early because of disease or inability to find work.

That is why retirement is so welcome for those of us who have been working very hard for many years. We just have to save, and learn investing. In this way, we never fear about the lack of fund to pursue our interest in life.

I have been "pretty much retired" for over ten years now. I still work, but not very much. The expenses most certainly do keep coming and honestly I don't think I'll ever stop working until I simply cannot for physical or mental reasons.
