I am considered an old member of Mylot and Expertscolumn, yet I feel like a stranger.
Both sites are completely different from the old sites.
I just login to Expertscolumn. Though I like to see my earnings accumulating without me doing a single minute of work for a couple of years, I feel strangely out of place since i have to learn to search for my own articles!

Mylot is come back to the old system, it pay again after about two years stop paying. Term of use still stay like an old mylot. We can make money by start discussion and leave respond or comment. But the full face of mylot have been changed. i thin you just learn how to operate some icons and start to enjoy this site.

I don't know anything about the other site you named, as I have never heard of it until you put it in your discussion. It is a shame when things change so much, that you feel like you have never been there before. As far as mylot, you might feel like a stranger now, but that won't last long, as once you make friends, and start interacting with them, then you will feel like you have been here forever. I do realize that the looks of mylot has changed, as i was a member before they stopped paying. I didn't like the change at first, but now that I am back, and they arepaying again, it really isn't all that bad. I enjoy it here, and I love the interaction the best. That is what makes mylot what it is.

@scheng1 I am glad that mylot is paying again, as I was gone from here for two years, and I missed it, but I didn't like the changes, and I did enjoy getting the little bonus each month. I came back in August, and saw that they were paying again, and I couldn't have been happier, and I have been here ever since.

I had a similar feeling when I started using the new version of Expertscolumn; I saw it as a completely different entity than the original site and the change was not for the better in my opinion; it is much more complicated and confusing to post on EC nowadays compared to the way it was a few years ago. This is why I could not adapt to the new Expertscolumn and I barely published a few articles in its new version. I feel like a stranger there and, unless the old EC is back, I doubt I will use it very often.
However, I don't have the same feeling about MyLot because I think that although the layout of the new MyLot differs a lot from the previous version, the basic principles of its functioning are generally the same as in the old site. The presence of familiar names from the site which I basically rediscovered made me feel more like belonging to a community again rather than estranged.

There is a feature in old Mylot that is not here.
In old mylot, you can choose to bookmark categories, and you can follow all the discussion threads in the categories.
I miss that feature.
i think the new Expertscolumn is very confusing, as it requires us to create blogs and then publish in those blogs, and each blog must have one category only.

I think when we return to mylot, we are as good as newbies to mylot.
The site is so different from the old version.
Even the earning method is different.
Mylot used to pay upfront for the comments and posts that you made, now we earn by passive income according to a formula that nobody really knows.
