The Plight of an Evil Genius

Life and living is an oxymoron. Not the words life and living, but being a good bad guy, or an evil savior, or even behaving badly but righteously! I want to save the world, because there's a lot of fun stuff to do in it. There's the next level of technology to reach and just because the peons think they are deserving it's all messed up. I don't want to live in a dark cavern because it's dark, but because the cavern is energy efficient and has the best of modern energy star products that you can't see through my windows, because I'm underground! They say a man's home is his castle, well in my case it functions as a fortress as well! And what fortress isn't complete without minions, a pit of crocodiles/sharks/whatever, and some kind of death ray? After all, I have to be prepared to stop people believing they are good guys, when they come off more like bad salesmen to me. If I want to build a world water and/or energy system that will make this world a sustainable place for thousands of years to come, and there's a rare species of spotted leech in my way that the environmentalists want to save, I'll squash them with the leeches as well, because that's my style! If I want to control weather and stop volcanoes from blowing up, it's because I'm being a smart human, not playing god or anything else the super religious say. Yet for all my struggles and all my hardship to make this world awesome for everyone, they send armies and what not to stop me. It's only self defense when I blow them away... really! You see my burden? It's everyone else that misunderstands my intentions, not that I'm the bad guy, because I make it look good. Amongst the misunderstandings, it's just the plight of an evil genius.

You have the same problem as all evil geniuses. You can't keep yourself from telling everyone your evil plans. That's how they find you and stop you.

Yes, but that's why I don't tell them the true plan and they focus on the ones I tell them about. So unless they are researching my thoughts themselves, they have no clue as to what the real plans are! Ahahaha!

Who sent armies? Where? How did you get away from them?

Whoever sent armies in the fictional world I was making. It was a satire post.

@OneOfMany I know I just thought there's a real world analogy for the bad guys and the peons and the armies.

@cahaya1983 There might be, but I haven't thought about the details!
