Just read a great book

It is by Belle Aurora. I have read one other book by her but did not realize it until I got done with this one and searched her name on amazon. The book that I just got done reading was one she recently published. It is entitled "Lev: a Shot Callers novel" that is how you will find it in the kindle store. In any case, it was a very touching story. It begins with Mina, a 24 year old desperate girl, nearly starved to death. She is living on the streets, and nearly incapacitated because of her hunger. In her desperation, she decides to devise a plan and steal a wallet. Unknowingly, this changes her life for good. Insert Lev, a misunderstood Russian Male, enforcer type. He is the unofficial "bouncer" of his family's club. He notices Mina the minute she walks in and is intrigued. I will say the synopsis the author gives plays up his "misunderstandings" a bit more then the actual book divulges. However, it is still a very sweet read. A romance, yes. Has a bit about abuse, so I give that warning. However, it's really only a few paragraphs. I don't normally like to recommend books, but this one had me from the start. Not nearly enough action to recommend to men, but the ladies will like this one. I believe i paid $3.99 on kindle store. Read it with my new kindle voyage I bought via payment plan.

Glad you enjoyed the book. I haven't read any fiction for some time. My current read is A House In the Sky, it's a non-fiction but written just as beautifully as a novel.

@Marty1 Amanda Lindhout, the book is about her experience as a female backpacker and then journalist and so many things that happened during her travel. Very interesting read.

@cahaya1983 I am not much for non - fiction. I find most non fiction reads too much like a reference book. Perhaps as I get into my 30's (soon eek) that will change. However, you do learn quite a bit with fiction as somethings make you want to research...

@ScribbledAdNauseum Yeah I just started reading NF a few months ago. I didn't like them much before but now I don't really feel like going back to reading fiction!
