Today, I was talking to a neighbor and she said the coyotes are hungry. Groups of them are moving into town, and pilfering, cats, puppies and dumping garbage bins over. I have two little pygmy goats in my yard with a six foot chain link fence around it, I hope they will be safe during the night.I wondered how come the goats broke into the shed, after living in their own shelter for a long time. They must have felt danger. Tonight they wouldn't even come to the gate to meet me and walk me to their dish. They just hung back until I put the food under the lean to, then they came in to eat it.

Your poor goats, they must be terrified! We have a huge coyote problem on Cape Cod. I have a large meadow to the right of my house and I can hear them howling at night.

I used to hear the coyotes howling at night in the desert, but I guess since they have moved into town, they are being quiet to hunt for food.

when times're hard, those critters come into where the folks're. sadly they grow accustomed to the easy pickin's 'n stay. i hope that yer lil goats make it through, poor lil darlin's. perhaps a burro 'r llama to protect 'em?
