I think the new CEO of HSBC is really useless.
He wants to cut the salary of contract staff but not permanent staff. He also orders the contract staff to take 2 weeks unpaid leave.
If he orders to cut the salary of perm staff, that means he has to cut his own salary.
How can such a useless person get hired as a CEO?
The bank broke the news to staff at its investment banking division last week and told managers that there would be ‘0 per cent exceptions’

HSBC was bought out by the bank I used in the states. I had no problem with HSBC in NY but I like the new one better.

I think the way they treat the employees really sucks.
Now is the time when people need money most, and asking contract staff to take 2 weeks of unpaid leave, and accept 10% salary cut is too much.
According to the report, some contract staff have been with the bank for years, and they are no less valuable than permanent staff.
