I think that is the dream of all of us. All of us surely want to be happy. wealthy, healthy and live a very long and useful life. I think many great investors who are billionaires are living the kind of life we want. One example is Irving Kahn who died at the age of 109. He made money during Great Depression and he learnt to invest prudently from Benjamin Graham, the teacher of Warren Buffet. He was not the only investor who was rich, happy, healthy and live to ripe old age. At the age of 108, he still worked part time advising his children and grandchildren on investment matter. Many investors are still active in their 80s and 90s, and they find enjoyment in their work. This shows that being rich and happy and healthy is not just an impossible dream.
Irving Kahn, the Manhattan money manager whose astounding longevity enabled him to carry firsthand lessons from the Great Depression well into the 21st century, has died. He was 109.

No one knows the full story about anyone to determine one is really happy or not. Even the mediocre has a right to be happy.

When a person still works after the age of 100, and he works in a company that he has founded, and passes on to his children, you can safely assume that the person is happy. It is hard for many of us to live peaceable with our siblings, and definitely much harder for 3 generations or 4 generations to work together in the same company.

@scheng1 This is only an example you have given but to generalise that rich people are happier needs further analysis

@allknowing You are another example. Compared to 80% or 90% of the population in India, you are considered as rich. At least they see you as rich, since you live in a big house, and can afford to hire servants. You are happy, as far as your posts show.

I think anyone can be happy if you live with a positive attitude. Attitude is the answer but money doesn't hurt either.

Money just help to smooth things a bit. Real happiness is inside of us.
