Online Shopping and Refund

Hello Friends
If any one of you remember then I said that I never went through online shopping. But since a year I am doing it regularly. So far I was having very good experience with it. I did it on few sites (some popular one only).
But for my last purchase, I didn't get the item. I got the message earlier about courier detail but its already too late than the expected delivery date. So I tried to contact seller, but he didn't reply any of my messages. So finally I did refund process.
Well, I never faced any kind of such issues. So hope so I will get the refund back. They should have cash on delivery for all regions (unfortunately they don't provide in my area, only prepaid one
).
Now I want to repurchase my item but I am confused that should I wait till I get the refund. And what should I do if item reached me too!!!???

I would wait to make sure you get the refund since you've never dealt with them before.

Well, you should try it at least once. If you feel comfortable then you can continue it.
I am saying this because there are certain benefits of the online shopping. I mean you have variety of choices which you can't have at your local place, plus you can have it for less price if some sale is on...
So you should try it.

@akp100 But I don't see anything that interest me and I very seldom check them out.because I hardly have time online.
I'm online now because my online boss has gone for holidays which means I am available for a few more days before he returns to work. Then I will be busy again.

generally stuff I buy online has turned up on time or just delayed by a few days - more due to our postal service than the sellers

Yes some time those courier services delay our item for sure. At that time we just need to wait for it.
But if they take more than normal time then we must take step for the same too. If it is cash on delivery then it is okay but if it is prepaid then better do it on time.

i like shopping online things seem to be alot cheaper then other web sites i go through amazon they are pretty upfront with their specials i would get the refund if possible and send the package back if you get it

As you said most of the company has no cash on delivery in mine place too. I am so sad to hear that. Eventhough only WS retailer products only gets shipped here. So i use amazon widely.

Amazon is really good. Most of the sites provides shipping option in my area. But its only prepaid one, no cash on delivery (some of them started for some items now).
I was having good experience so far. Even now, if I get my money refunded. Hope so.

I've not experienced anything like this before. I've only ordered a physical item online once, and it arrived on time and in good condition. Most of my online purchases are for things like games, which I get as digital downloads so I don't have to worry about delivery failure, since I get the download link immediately.
What site did you buy it on, by the way? Ebay?

lol.. That's cool.
Nope mine wasn't that kind of thing. So I have to wait till I get the item. Well, yes it is ebay site. But good thing is that they have approved my refund for the item, and as per them I will get my refund amount in two to three days. So it is okay now.

I think you should at least wait for the response from the site - if they have a customer support number, it would be even better calling them up - as things happen faster on a call. The vendor does not care - as far as my bad experience goes.
E-Commerce is still catching up here in Indian context and there are many places they do not offer COD facility which is kind of sad.

Yes bro... It is sad that they are not providing COD at all places. Hope it will start at my place soon enough.
Yes that;s the nice option. I have issued for the refund, but call will clear more things than this. Thanks for the suggestion I will do it tomorrow morning as its already late now.

Fortunately my online shopping experience so far has been good. I like to read reviews before buying something from any online store and read their return/refund policies so I wouldn't have issues.

May be you are having any bad experience with online shopping. So far it was going good for me. In fact I have purchased some things which were cheaper online in compare to local market.
I have faced this issue first time. But it will be okay if they are refunding my money for my item.If I get my money back, then I have no problem with it. Let's see.
