Yes, $64 million was won last night on only1 lottery ticket. The ticket was sold in Mississauga, Ontario.
Now, remember that in Canada, we do no pay "income taxes" on lottery winnings. Not like in the U.S. where the lottery winnings are taxed heavily.
Someone must be in shock this morning, I know I would be.

All in all that's not a big lottery win compared to the triple digit wins here. But it's nice they pay no tax...but I wouldn't mind paying tax on 'free money'

@marlina To be honest, I don't much about Canada at all.

I wish it was me but I guess you have to buy a ticket to win and I rarely do that.

@marlina I could find ways to give away all that money, I certainly don't need it myslef but it would be fun giving it away.

How very lucky for someone. However that being said such a large some can be more problematic than a smaller win. WE have had many people ruined with extra large lottery wins sadly. Good luck to them though!

Even with the heavy taxes in the US, I'd be overjoyed to win a few million. Oh yeah. I figure taxes would amount to about half so with a $4mil jackpot, I might end up with a couple of million. Yup, I could get by on that.

Lucky winner! Not very many are winning here in Alberta! Last week I won, too - - A PREPLAY!
