How I awoke in a hearse and scared a granny half to death!

I have always had an interested in funeral care, I am now an embalmer. When I was at uni I owned a vintage hearse and would often go camping in it. It was a little beaten up but had all the furnishings inside with a lovely oak board and shiny chrome.
On weekends I would dissapear camping in her, heading to different parts of the country. One spring weekend I headed off on a camping trip but the weather was against me. It prety much rained the whole trip.
The good thing is about camping in a hearse is that it has plenty of boot space, under the oak platform there was room for an additional two coffins that I used to store my tent and stove. Anyway, the rain was pouring and I didn't fancy getting all wet erecting my tent. I decided to pull into the roadside in a residential area, I would be off at first light so no issues. I wondered down the road and found a local pub for dinner and one, two, three . . .beers before stumbling back and jumping into my (black) sleeping bag.
In the morning, slightly later than planned I awoke, opened my eyes and saw a little old lady peering into the back of the hearse. . . I quickly sat up and gave her a wave - I have never seen a granny run so fast!
Lesson learned - not everyone appreciates seeing a waving hungover student wrapped in a body bag in the back of a hearse first thing in the morning!
