Do you use the delete function to delete your own comment or the responses left on your discussion threads? / myLot

The quality of responses is high here, so I do not use the delete function to delete the responses left on my discussion threads. I do not delete my own comments left on the threads of others too. if I make a mistake, I will edit it but not to delete the whole comment, and re-write it.

The only responses or comments that I would delete myself are spam comments, and I think it is better to report them to let an admin deal with the spammer.

That is true. If we delete and then report the spammer, there is no proof that he ever spams in our discussion thread. I think your way is much better than just deleting the nonsense.

I've never done that and I don't see a reason to do that. I usually do the same as you do, just edit the comment and leave it there.

I think we are fortunate that we have the function to delete or edit as we please. In this way, we can make changes when we catch our mistakes.

I have not tried deleting any thing yet . . am still new here and still learning things.
