I have recently been discovering new genres of music to listen to due to a new writing opportunity. When they asked me what types of music I liked to listen to, I pretty much thought I chose everything, just to get more reviews. Most of the music is pretty good, but a few have been a little disturbing to listen to. Do you find some music to be offending, annoying, disturbing or chaotic?
If so what types?

I suppose we have to get used to rap - it seems like it's here to stay! I was hoping it would fade out sometime. I'm from the 50's & 60's era, you know, Bing Crosby, Pat Boone, Elvis Presley, Frank Sinatra, Beatles, Rolling Stones, Mamas & Papas, Beach Boys, Crosby Stills Nash & Young, etc. Their music will never fade away!

I really don't like some of the violent and sexist rap I've heard. Unfortunately European taxi drivers seem to love it and I'll be sitting in the back of the cab thinking "You have NO idea what these lyrics mean and if I thought you did, I'd be getting straight out of this car".

Yes, There are certain rap music that does not make any sense at all. I tend to go to you tube and go back to the 80s and 90 music.

I don't like rap. I don't "get" heavy metal, but a lot of friends of mine who are musicians say that there is considerable skill in heavy metal music. I cannot tolerate modern country music because it's not remotely country-sounding (not to mention it's misongynistic to the nth degree now).

Yes a lot of the newer country does not sound country. Some rap I can tolerate.I never cared much for heavy metal myself.
