Doing the house cleaning daily, for me, is not an easy task as what other people thought. It's so boring and not a challenging job. Since we don't have a house helper, I have no choice, but to do it daily. I must see to it that it is neat and tidy, for my husband will be angry when he saw that the house is dirty. How about you? Are you the one who clean your house daily?

At the moment it isn't very neat and tidy, but I have been in a nursing home for a month for rehab on a broken leg. I'm home now, but it will still be a while before the house is tidy again.

@just4him oh I'm sorry to know that. Good thing you are home now. I hope you are fine also. By the way, I remembered you in bubblews. You were a famous bubbler in there. But sadly, the site went down.

Hi friend, yes I clean my house daily. Because I stay home through the day. I do not have job outside. You are right, some tome i fell bore and want to let the home dirty but I remove this feeling immediately, because I afraid that my children sick if my house dirty. I always motivate myself that clean house will make us healthy.

You are very diligent. I like cooking but I don't like cleaning the house at all. And I am lazy. I seldom clean my house. Usually I will clean it when I can't stand the messy house. My dad doesn't allow me to hire someone to clean the house because he doesn't trust a stranger. And I have to work. When I am home, it is already late. I feel too exhaused to do the housework like cleaning my house. Usually I will just wash the dishes after dinner. And if I have a good mood and a new inspiration, I will cook something at night and that's all.

@youless. I can relate of being lazy sometimes but I have no choice but to clean our house. Speaking of house helper, me too I don't like and trust strangers staying in my house, that's why I didn't hire one. Good thing you love to cook.

As Beijing city here is pretty dusty and polluted, we have to vacuum everyday and mop the floor every other day. Then there'll be lots of tidying up around the house or it will really be a pain when things get accumulated. Fortunately, I have my in-laws who are healthy to help out or it will really be quite a task for me. My man does help out but it's quite limited since he is quite engaged in work.

@artemeis Really? So we are the same. Our place is so dusty especially during sunny days when there's no rain at all.

I have found this discussion interesting, as people have answered from so many different cultures. Certainly we all share the challenge of keeping our homes clean, but the expectations and the conditions vary according to where we are writing from. Where I live it isn't common for me to have help cleaning house, though in many families both the man and the woman clean up together. My husband and I are alone, as our kids have grown up. He still works while I'm at home, so it makes sense that I'm the one cleaning up. It isn't a given, though, that the woman is always the one responsible for cleaning in Canada. Sometimes the man is better at it or it is done by both. Usually, though, the one that is bothered by the mess the most is the one who puts time into cleaning and tidying. Somehow that is often the woman.

@sheilamarie78 Yeah, I agree with you that both husband and wife shall do the cleaning if they have enough time. My husband is working and since I am already retired from work and always stays at home so I have no choice but to do it by myself. My husband cleans but he seldom do it now for according to him cleaning the house is a task for women. Well, it's part of our old culture that husband's job is to look for money for the family and the wife does all the house chores. How sad hahaha.
