A Job!

It looks like I finally have a job! After the last two messes where I was hired then the person whose job I was taken decided not to leave after all, I am so happy! I will be working as an after school nanny for an 8 year old boy and a 5 year old girl. Busy kids - dance, PSR, soccer, piano lessons, chess lessons. It should be interesting.
I'm getting paid in cash, which is awesome. I thought they wouldn't do it - both parents are lawyers so I thought they'd want payment on the books. I'm meeting the kids tomorrow and I start next week.

Wow! That sounds like a great job! When I lived in Alaska we had a mothers helper that we paid in cash. Sometimes she took the kids to the park, tor he he would tidy up around the house. It was a great thing and made it much easier for me to get things done that I needed to!

Great! Congrats! Hope you're up to the challenge.
My husband recently went through that problem where he thought he'd found a new job, but then the person he was to replace decided not to leave. At least his old job took him back, and it made things a little easier on us that he wasn't switching jobs.
